OSara Clinics is the consultation, examination, planning and follow-up point. When cataract surgery is indicated and requires an operating facility, the operation takes place at an appropriate hospital or surgical facility within the care pathway with Dr. Sara Abu Touq.

Symptoms of cataract
قد يسبب الساد ضبابية تدريجية، وهجاً، صعوبة في القيادة ليلاً، بهتان الألوان أو تغيراً متكرراً في قياس النظارة. الأعراض وحدها لا تحدد الحاجة للجراحة؛ الفحص هو الأساس.
Cataract can cause progressive blur, glare, difficulty with night driving, faded colours or frequent prescription changes. Symptoms alone do not determine the need for surgery; examination is essential.
متى تُناقش الجراحة؟
When surgery is considered
تُناقش العملية عندما يؤثر الساد على الرؤية والأنشطة بدرجة مهمة أو عندما توجد أسباب سريرية أخرى تجعل الإزالة مناسبة. لا توجد قاعدة بأن كل ساد يحتاج جراحة فوراً.
Surgery is considered when cataract meaningfully affects vision and activities or when other clinical reasons make removal appropriate. Not every cataract requires immediate surgery.

تشمل الخطة فحص العين وتقييم الساد وبقية أجزاء العين، وإجراء القياسات اللازمة لحساب قوة العدسة المزروعة عند التخطيط للجراحة، ثم مناقشة خيارات العدسة والتوقعات والمخاطر والبدائل.
Planning includes eye examination, assessment of the cataract and other ocular structures, measurements needed to calculate intraocular-lens power when surgery is planned, and discussion of lens options, expectations, risks and alternatives.

تتضمن المتابعة مراجعة العين، استخدام القطرات الموصوفة، ومراقبة الأعراض خلال التعافي. تختلف سرعة تحسن الرؤية حسب العين والحالة المصاحبة، ولا ينبغي ضمان نتيجة بصرية محددة.
Follow-up includes eye review, prescribed drops and monitoring during recovery. Visual recovery varies with the eye and coexisting disease, so a specific visual outcome should not be guaranteed.

If surgery is planned, the operating facility and surgical team are discussed clearly with the patient beforehand. Dr. Sara Abu Touq participates in the patient's surgical care and follow-up, while her role during the operation depends on the individual case and surgical-team arrangement.
